My name is Mitch Mitchell. I’ve been in health care since 1983. For eighteen years he worked in various health care organizations, seventeen of those years in a management capacity. I’ve been a consultant and presenter since 2001. My skills cover the entire revenue cycle, from registration through collections and everything in between. I specializes in charge master reviews and I have a background in corporate compliance.
I’m also qualified as a leadership and diversity trainer, presenting training programs and speaking on these and other topics in 7 states. I’ve written two books on leadership, Embrace The Lead, and Leadership Is/Isn’t Easy. I’ve written over 6,000 articles, which are published in magazines and various online periodicals and blogs.
I was a three term president of the Mid York Medical Accounts Management Association in Syracuse, NY for 15 years, which also means I was on the board of directors of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management. I was a 13-year member of the board of directors for ARISE Inc, working for the rights of the disabled, and was a 19-year member and 15-year board member of the Consultant’s Network of Central New York. I’m also a member of the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce in central New York, was formerly listed as a consultant with the the National Minority Aids Council, and was on the editorial board of Aspen Publishers/Wolters Kluwer.
